Welcome to Carbon School

Welcome to Carbon School's webpage! Our school is a unique K-12 public school nestled in the valley along the Kneehill Creek. With a staff of 10 teachers and 7 support staff and an enrolment of approximately 170 students, Carbon School takes pride in offering a quality all around education for its students.

At Carbon School we strive to provide an environment conducive to learning where students are encouraged to progress to their full potential both academically and socially. We believe that experiences in athletics, practical arts and fine arts will complement this development.

Our first day of Kindergarten is Wednesday, September 8th - Hooray!!!

I can't wait to get to know all of my new students. So far, we have 8 girls and 8 boys registered in the class.

On the first day of school, I'll be sending home a copy of the Kindergarten School Year Calendar. The Kindergarten students attend school for 90 days, whereas the rest of the students attend school for 181 days.

I'll also be sending home a copy of the Alphabet Stroke Poster. Please refer to it when modelling for your child the correct way to form letters & numbers.

Only 7 more sleeps until the first day of Kindergarten. Hang in there!!!

P.S. The Friday "Hot Lunch Program" will not be available to the Kindergarten students until October. Information to follow.
